DOING HIS JOB
JOSELITO VILLASIS/PN - Kudos to this Iloilo City traffic auxiliary. He is directing the flow of traffic on corner Quezon-Delgado streets and not just standing by the roadside and waiting for drivers to violate traffic rules then catch them. He does the most correct thing – prevent drivers from committing traffic infractions, thereby ensuring the smooth flow of vehicles and avoiding traffic congestion.
WANNA BURY ME ALIVE?
JOSELITO VILLASIS/PN - A boy (left) enjoys being “buried alive” in sand by his friend at the breakwater of Iloilo City’s Ortiz wharf facing the Iloilo Strait. They’re enjoying the hot summer.
GUIJO DUEÑAS/PN - Unlike many others who go on vacation, these residents of Arevalo district, Iloilo City spend summer afternoons dozing off on hammocks.
JOSELITO VILLASIS/PN - Who needs a shop? Not this Iloilo City barber who can do his job even under the sun. His client does not mind at all; the important thing is for him to have a haircut and look good for just a few pesos. Getting one’s hair done in some posh barbershops or parlors is expensive, he says.
