ARCHIE REY ALIPANO/PN - Negros Occidental farmers march around Bacolod City to mark the 28th anniversary of the Mendiola Massacre. The massacre in 1987 occurred at Mendiola near Malacañang, during a violent dispersal of a march by farmers seeking agrarian reform. At least 13 farmers died during the incident. It occurred during the presidency of Corazon Aquino.
